Beast Women is proud to be Chicago's Premier Performance Revue. With 7 YEARS of Celebrating the Freedom, Sexuality, Life Oddities, and Primal Strength Found in All Women.

We are looking for any and all performance genres! (Musician, Dancer, Martial Artist, Performance Artist, Comedian, Gymnast, Etc.) Show us how you unleash your inner Beast, and you could be chosen to be one of our elite performers for our September Series 2014!

A Chorus Line - Auditions: Tuesday, June 3rd and Wednesday, June 4th at the West Ridge Community Center, 636 Ridge Road, in Highland Park by Highland Park Players. Auditions consist of singing, dancing and cold readings and begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. Callbacks will be held on Sunday, June 8th, beginning at noon.  All roles are available for ages 15 and older. No appointment necessary.

Please prepare 32 bars of a song to sing, and bring your sheet music and dance shoes. Performances begin October 10 and the show runs for three weekends at the Northbrook Theatre, with rehearsals beginning August 11. A complete list of roles can be viewed on Highland Park Players’ website:

The wit of Oscar Wilde meets the cunning of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle when Wilde brings his dear friend, Lillie Langtry, to Baker Street. Someone has stolen the highly intimate letters Lillie exchanged with the Prince of Wales, and now she is being blackmailed. It's a wild ride with surprises and disguises, but Sherlock Holmes and Watson will do whatever it takes to solve the case and help their friends.

The Wilmette Center for the Arts announces auditions for the spring production of ALL SHOOK UP directed by Lydia Milman Schmidt with Musical Direction by Joseph Brewer and Choreography by Brigitte Ditmars. 

General auditions will be Sunday, December 7th from 1:30 until 5:00 with callbacks on Tuesday, December 9th. 

Character breakdowns:

Natalie Haller / Ed:  A tom-boy mechanic; Falls in love with Chad. Vocal Range: Alto / E#3 to F4

Chad: Motorcycle driving new-comer in town; a roustabout. Vocal Range: Baritone / E#3 to A5

Jim Haller: Natalie’s lonely widowed father; Vocal Range: Baritone/ Bb3 – F#4

Sylvia: No-nonsense owner of the Honky-Tonk on the wrong side of the tracks; Vocal Range: Alto with a Belt / E3 – F4

Lorraine:  Sylvia’s teenage daughter, in a secret relationship with the Mayor’s son; Vocal Range: Alto with a Belt / C4 to Eb5

Dennis: A young, awkward, aspiring dentist.  Natalie’s best friend who is also secretly in love with her; Vocal Range: Tenor / A3 to Bb5

Miss Sandra: The beautiful and intellectual museum curator; Vocal Range: Alto / E3 to F4

Mayor Matilda Hyde: The town’s very conservative mayor who has banned music and dancing. Vocal Range: Mezzo / Bb3 to C6

Dean Hyde: The Mayor’s teenage son who is about to be sent back to Military boarding school; in a secret relationship with Lorraine; Vocal Range: Tenor / D4 to Bb5

Sheriff Earl: The law in town; A man of not many words; Vocal Range: Baritone / B3 to F#5

Vocal Backup Trio / “Pips”:  Similar to the trio of street urchins in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS; this trio requires STRONG singers who can handle difficult harmonies.  These roles will not have a large amount of lines but will have a significant amount of music and stage time.

Ensemble: Strong singers and dancers of all ages and types.

Rehearsals begin the week of January 12th and a tentative rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.  Performances are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, March 6-15. 

Please prepare 16-32 measures (or up to one minute) of a song that best shows off your voice and be prepared to dance.  (The dance call will be held during the general auditions.  Please come dressed to move at the top of the audition and you will have time to change if you need to do so before your individual audition time to sing.)
